Short Description
The 68-hectare former site of the Opel Plant 1 in Bochum has been reactivated for new urban development purposes. The development of the site was carried out in several construction phases and will now be completed in 2025.
As a result of a Europe-wide VOF procedure, DAHLEM planned the development of the site in a consortium and is responsible for the drainage planning of all construction phases. In accordance with the urban development framework plan, the design planning for the drainage system was completed in 2016 in close coordination with redevelopment and open space planners. Particular attention was paid to the synergistic handling of urban flash floods and the resulting development of measures.
