Shortdescription
The existing facilities at the Ober-Eschbach sewage treatment plant are in need of renovation and are no longer powerful enough to meet current and future requirements. Therefore, extensive reconstruction is planned.
The mechanical stage will be completely rebuilt. Since the biological stage must be built as compactly as possible due to space constraints, the membrane bioreactor process was chosen. The new aeration plant will be operated with a higher solids content than conventional aeration plants and can therefore be designed to save space. Instead of secondary clarification, a compact membrane system will be used for solids separation.
All construction work must be carried out during ongoing operations.
