Projectdata

The Consulting Services are subdivided into three parts:

  • Part 1 Feasibility Study with phased implementation concept for the sewerage measures (networks and WWTP).
  • Part 2 Detailed Design, tendering and construction supervision of the sewer network and WWTP
  • Part 3 Study on industrial direct and indirect polluters

The designed sewerage measures include the following physical project components:

  • WWTP for Stage 1: 160,000 PE, dry weather flow 15,000 m3/d.
  • WWTP for Stage 2: 240,000 PE, dry weather flow 22,500 m3/d
  • Trunk main (length: approx. 16 km; ND 250 — ND 1000) to connect the service areas to the WWTP
  • Sewerage networks in the villages within the project area and construction of transport facilities to connect them to centralized installations (length: approx. 75 km; ND 250 — ND 1000)
  • Pumping Stations Bala, Q = 72 m³/h, Hman 80 m and Shuweika Q = 252 m³/h, Hman 12,5 m
  • Pressure Pipes (ND 200, length approx. 1.5 km)
  • Introduction of adequate septic sludge collection procedures
  • Installation of pre-treatment units in industrial sewage treatment plants
  • Introduction of an environmentally sound effluent and sewage sludge disposal concept

The implemented sewerage measures include:

  • Sewerage collection system in the villages within the project area and connection to the existing WWTPs (length: approx. 75 km; ND 250 — ND 1000)
  • Installation of pre-treatment units in the existing industrial WWTPs
