Shortdescription
The Mörfelden-Walldorf wastewater treatment plant is located in the Hessisches Ried region, which plays an important role in drinking water production in Hesse. This necessitates a comprehensive renovation of the wastewater treatment plant and an expansion to include a fourth treatment stage for phosphorus and trace substance reduction.
The fourth treatment stage includes a feeding pump station, a storage and dosing station for powdered activated carbon and precipitating agents, three contact reactors, an ozone system, and downstream cloth filtration. In the future, the effluent from the fourth treatment stage will be used to treat internal industrial water. The treatment is carried out using UV treatment.
The plant has been in operation since 2023.
The photo below on the right shows the waste water in the left tank after
passing through the final clarifier. The tank on the right shows the water after
it has passed through the cloth filtration system.
