Projectdata
Lot I:
- Rehabilitation and Extension of Sewerage Networks
- construction of new transmission mains (DN550 to 800 ≈ 8 km, including pressure mains)
- automated, self-cleansing stormwater overflows; 2 siphons (for river crossings, additional pressure mains and rural connections), sewerage pumping station.
Lot II:
New WWTP Peja including sludge digester and CHP
- Stage 1: 81,000 PE, dry weather flow = 12,178 m³/d
- Stage 2: 96,000 PE, dry weather flow = 12,409 m³/d for tertiary treatment i.e. removal of nitrogen and phosphorus
- Primary treatment - automated coarse and fine screens, inlet pumping station, grit and grease removal and primary clarifiers
- Secondary treatment - organic carbon removal by an activated sludge process
- Tertiary Treatment (UV disinfection); The staggered implementation concept provides a future upgrade for Tertiary-Treatment and nutrient removal
- O&M Manuals for both components.
- Sludge Treatment (thickening, sludge stabilization by anaerobic mesophilic sludge digestion, mechanical sludge dewatering, storage and sludge liming);
- Use of Biogas (digester gas/ CHP) for generating electrical power and heat.
